MONEY EXCHANGE, POSTAL SERVICE AND VISAS

The official currency is the Convertible Mark: KM. If you arrive at Sarajevo, you can change your money directly at the Airport; the service is open until 6:00 p.m. In Mostar, you can go to a bank (open until 8:00 p.m. on weekdays, and until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday morning), or change money at your hotel. It is also possible to pay in Euro (1 Euro = 1,95/1,94 KM. Convertible Mark).

Visas

No visa is required for citizens of the following countries who wish to visit Bosnia-Herzegovina: Switzerland, all European Union member States, Andorra, Australia, Brunei, Canada, Croatia, Japan, Kuwait, Liechtenstein, Macedonia, Malaysia, Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, Qatar, Russia, San Marino, Serbia and Montenegro, Vatican City, Turkey, United States of America.

Adult travellers (over 18) must exhibit a valid passport or ID card, according to their country of origin, and stay in Bosnia-Herzegovina for no more than one month; under 18-year-olds must be accompanied by both parents and have their own passport (or ID card), or else be registered on their parents’ passport (or ID card).

All other citizens must ask for a visa; forms to obtain a visa are available at the Consulate Offices of Bosnia-Herzegovina. For detailed information about regulations and visas, visit the Government website: www.mvp.gov.ba
