Mostar National Theatre (Narodno Pozorište u Mostaru)

This is Mostar’s largest theatre where the most important performances are held, as well as numerous other cultural events. One of the most popular is the Mostarska Liska, a comedy festival, which takes place between May and April and which well represents Mostar’s spirit and irony. “Liska” is, in fact, a typical slapstick comedy personage of ancient, local tradition. At the end of the show, a jury awards prizes: the “Veliska liska” for the best theatrical performance, and the “Mala Liska” for the best actor.

Croatian National Theatre (Hrvatsko Narodno Kazalište)

Croatian and local dramas are performed in this new theatre, as well as it being the seat of the Lutkarsko kazalište, the Croatian puppet theatre.

Puppet Theatre (Lutkarsko Pozorište)

This is the very first place to take children who love puppets, where high quality, long-standing, traditional shows are regularly held: not to be missed are the New Year shows when Santa Claus gives out little presents to the children and everyone can take place in the actual shows.

Mostar Youth Theatre (Mostarski Teatar Mladih - Centar za Dramski Odgoj BiH)

In this theatre, the city's young actors meet together to prepare interesting and varied theatrical shows.
